Build Your Wealth Team: Methodology
Understand the approach, what your result can tell you, and where judgment still matters.
Current tool · Version 1.2.8
Responsibility before recruitment
Map the work, then clarify who owns it
A financial team is useful when important work is actually covered, not simply when you have several advisers. The assessment connects your household circumstances with relevant responsibilities across tax, estate, investments, legal matters, protection, retirement, continuity, and coordination.
Your answers identify whether each job belongs to you, a professional, a shared arrangement, or nobody clearly assigned. The Blueprint brings unclear ownership and review needs together into a short list of practical conversations.
Reading your Blueprint
- Household-owned
- You or someone in your household owns the work. This can be a complete answer when the responsibility and review rhythm are clear.
- Clarify or assign
- Ownership, scope, or timing is uncertain, or nobody is clearly responsible. Clarifying an existing arrangement may be more useful than hiring someone new.
- Review or coordinate
- The work may be covered while an engagement, deliverable, review date, or handoff deserves attention.
- Possible specialist support
- Some work may call for a qualified specialty or a one-time engagement. The result names possible role types, not vetted professionals.
- No immediate action
- Your routing answers may make an area inapplicable now, or no immediate issue surfaced from the information provided.
- Priority conversations
- A small set of findings across relevant areas helps you choose what to address first, with a reason and a conversation prompt.
Assumptions and information to check
The map relies on your description of responsibilities and household circumstances. Questions that do not apply are left out. An uncertain answer remains a clarification need rather than becoming evidence of coverage or a requirement to hire.
Naming a professional does not establish their credentials, engagement scope, quality, cost, conflicts, or suitability. Compare the Blueprint with current agreements and confirm who initiates and follows through on shared tasks.
A suggested role is an example of the specialty that may fit the work. Ask what the engagement will deliver, how the person is compensated, which conflicts may exist, and when the work will be reviewed.
Your professional list is shared with the Annual Adviser Accountability Review. Once responsibilities are clear, that tool can help you examine delivery, costs, proactive work, and next-year expectations.

A result you can revisit
This page describes the current tool. An older saved result may use an earlier approach; its saved version and conclusions remain unchanged. Reviewing your answers and completing an updated run creates a new result without rewriting the earlier one.
